Can’t thank Dave enough for doing my boudoir photoshoot yesterday. The last 8 years have been such a struggle for me, I’m my own worst enemy and just completely lost my self confidence. Within half an hour of being in Dave’s company he made me feel so at ease his just such a lovely gentleman. I truly enjoyed my experience it made me feel empowered & actual like what was looking back at me in the mirror. Just for one day I wanted to feel the way my husband sees me and that I certainly did I think every woman needs to have a shoot done like this.

Also a huge thank you to Kim the makeup artist she was truly amazing she made me look & feel like a million dollars.

Intimate Yorkshire photos for real women, just like you.

We are bombarded with pictures of super models in every magazine and advert we see. It’s one of the things that make us feel so insecure. How can anyone be expected to look as good as a professional model? Someone who has posed in front of the camera a million times. This is essentially the difference between fashion and glamour and boudoir photography.

Boudoir photography is always with amateur models.

Real women, just like you.

Women, who have less experience in front of the camera than a supermodel.

Women with ‘average’ body shapes and the same insecurities as everyone else.

‘Real’ women are likely to be uncomfortable in front of the camera, particularly in lingerie. More often than not, a woman booking a boudoir photoshoot has never done anything like this before.

The art of being a boudoir photographer is in relaxing, directing and posing the subject.

Easier said than done.

It’s a skillset that can only be learned with years of experience. Perhaps, more than any other style of photography, boudoir demands a really comfortable relationship between client and photographer/stylist. You need to be totally at ease in front of the camera or the pictures will never look believeable. Some of our clients literally arrive shaking with fear. Over the years we have mastered the art of being able to make women feel comfortable withing a very short time. This is one of our strongest skillsets.

Before every shoot we make a plan for make-up/hair, wardobe and which rooms and setups we’re going to use. Everything is styled around you and is totally unique. We’ll coach you through every pose, right down to your fingertips. We talk a lot to give you just the right amount of direction. No uncomfortable silences. We keep everything fun and upbeat. Light and easy. This is a really serious and scary situation for so many people so we do our best to keep things as fun as possible. The entire experience should leave you feeling confident and inspired and floating on air.

We’ll play some of your favourite music and offer snacks and beverages. One of the advantages of working from a Hotel like Hazlewood.

Hair and make-up generally lasts an hour to an hour and a half and is styled after a consultation so we can create just the kind of look you want. This is a fun and relaxing time. Pamper time. Your personal ‘me’ time and at the end of all this, you’ll feel totally ready to step in front of the camera.

Outfit choices are yours and of course we’re here to help put your outfits together that work with your own personal style. A week or two before your session you’ll have received our comprehensive STYLE GUIDE to give you plenty of inspiration.

Lingerie is of course the norm for boudoir but we also suggest plenty of alternatives work just as well to create super sexy looks. Stretchy jumpers, a man’s white shirt, sports shirts, (See this article HERE )

We recognise that everyone’s comfort level is different and everyone books a boudoir photoshoot for a variety of different reasons and this is why we custominse evry part of the session around your individual needs.
